In 2005 i was told to go on a creative journey that was way to bigger than me, as an Artist i found this journey to be fulfilling at the same time very spiritually draining and called for consultations from the elders and so i did.
the idea was a moving publick art perfomance wich was to address the world problems that which we all face in our time. this was child and woman abuse, xenophobia, afrophobia and Racissim.
working from johannesburg cbd i am always around artist from different walks of life. some of them were keen to join the perfomance as they felt they also relate to the statement i was making so i had company and got on it we went to from my studio the Drill Hall in jhb to soweto Hector Perterson mussium in Soweto on the 16th of june 2011.
we walked from my studio Twist street to Bree Taxi Rank to Soweto at the Hector Peterson Mussium.
we got to soweto and firewax exploded, people were shocked confused scared some were tearful . the story was told the country was reminded of who they are and where they come from.
it was on this moment that i got to understand why i was told to do this. tears came running through my eyes and i had the feeling of being fulfilled and i knew rite then it was not over yet.
