Roy Samaha

Roy Samaha (b. 1978) is a Lebanese video artist and photographer living and working in Beirut. He received his Masters degree in film studies at USEK, Lebanon 1998-2006 and has exhibited his videos in numerous film and contemporary art festivals. From 1998 until 2008 he worked in the News and Broadcasting TV industry. Currently, he teaches a seminar on video practices at USJ film school, the AUB Fine Arts Department and The Lebanese University of Fine Arts.

Roy visited apexart from Beirut, Lebanon, from September 1- October 1, 2010. He was recommended by Jalal Toufic, a Lebanese film theorist and video artist. Visit his Resident Page for more information.
